Shipping policy

Delivery of care packages and gift hampers applies to metro areas on business days only. Please note that there may be unexpected delivery delays. Orders must be placed before 12pm. Regional areas may take longer and unexpected courier delays can occur. Metro cities include Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra. Hobart and Darwin take longer.
Please be aware that even though we dispatch your order in lightning speed, sometimes couriers do experience unforeseen delays, which are beyond our control. If this happens, or there is an issue with the courier service, we will do our best to assist you and lodge an investigation or case.

All deliveries are made during business hours from Monday to Friday. Weekend deliveries are available upon request in Melbourne for an additional fee. We don’t deliver on Public Holidays. Please be aware that on the odd occasion there are courier delays, and delivery may take an extra day or two.

When you place your order, you will be sent a tracking link with the delivery details of your parcel, for your peace of mind.

MELBOURNE SAME DAY DELIVERIES AVAILABLE! Please call 0431 326 284 before placing your order. Prices start from $40 (week days). If your order is placed before 10:00am, your delivery will be delivered the same afternoon OR evening to Melbourne Metropolitan Suburbs. If you require delivery at a specific time, this can be arranged for an extra fee.

We cannot deliver to PO BOXES.

By placing an order you agree that you give the courier service ‘Authority To Leave’ the package in a safe spot if no one is home (this is standard practice and ensures your package gets to the recipient as quickly as possible). If you do not wish to give your order ‘Authority To Leave,’ please inform us before your order has been processed, or leave a note in the ‘comments’ section when placing their order. You may be required to pay the post office holding fee of $10 if no one is home and the package is returned to the Post Office. Please see our T&C’s for more information about this.

For deliveries to a residential address, it helps if you please provide the recipients telephone number. We give our courier the authority to leave parcels if the recipient is not at home. If delivery cannot be made, the courier will leave a calling card for the recipient to collect their package from their local post office.

For deliveries to a hospital or nursing home, please provide as much information as possible (such as level, ward and room number). Also make sure they haven’t been discharged by the time the delivery gets there.

We use the best courier service in the country to ensure your packages are delivered quickly and safely.

Please note Caring Canary accepts no responsibility once the care package has been collected from our premises.

We cannot accept a specified delivery time (eg 5.00pm).
